Freycinet Proposal & Engagement shoot

Ok this Freycinet engagement/ proposal is special for so many reasons! When Roy reached out to me to help capture all the nerves, excitement & emotion from his proposal to Maddy I was immediately down with the plan. We also had all the talent and knowledge of the Freycinet Lodge team at our disposal - Winning already.

We’d discussed the game-plan over the phone and even drew up a mud map ready for a tactical sweep of the building…. and a proposal.
My initial response to the question of flowers was East Coast’s own Silver Tree Botanics. Unfortunately Maddy’s allergy to natives meant Roy would need more of an English cottage garden vibe for his flowers…. and that’s where it got super exciting for my darling Emily who’d been growing flowers for herself with the plan to sell them one day, today was the day!

One of my favourite photographs from this proposal is the one of Maddy admiring her new ring in the bathroom with the sun hitting her hand.
Our challenge as photographers is to effectively tell a story through photographs, despite lots of negative space, the entire story can be told in that one little snippet of the image.

Obviously Maddy said yes! I mean just look at Roy ;) .
Super heartfelt & emotive proposal followed by an über fun little shoot down on Richardsons beach.

Congratulations both, and job well done Roy <3.
