Steeles Island wedding

When lovers Hayman and Emmie reached out to capture all of the magic from their Steeles Island wedding, I was saa excited! Not only are they an absolute couple of legends, but all their friends and family are too.

Steeles Island Retreat is a stunning little gem tucked away in Dodges Ferry. 40 mins from Hobart the gorgeous little coastal town has all the wholesome goodness and nostalgic beachy vibes you could dream of for your wedding day.

Ahead are a collection of photos that will fill you with the warm & fuzzies that everyone was relishing in at Hayman + Emmies Steeles Island wedding.

Discover Steeles Island Retreat

On the drive in I was admiring the legit surf & absolute charm of the area. Steeles Island Retreat was hidden right at the end of the road in its own little paradise.

The structure built by a passionate craftsman with bold timber features creating a sense of grandeur & effortless class.

Why Plan Your Wedding at Steeles Island Retreat

Nestled on a south facing bay, which I got a little bit excited about since most of my work is on the East coast. Steeles Island Retreat and Dodges Ferry more broadly is somewhere I insisted on taking my partner. Park Beach Cafe is possibly my all time favourite cafe (Little bay patisserie also right up there). Offering a secluded wedding experience the breathtaking views of the Tasmanian wilderness (wildlife galore) and stunning coastline, it's evident why Hayman and Emmie chose this location for their w-day.

Following a wholesome & hilarious (First kiss was a Kath & Kim reenactment) beach ceremony we took advantage of the tasty landscape backdrop for framing all the excitement and sent corks. Officials out the way, the venue provided a spacious, light-filled covered area, ideal for hosting the reception. This area also turns into a banging D-floor later in the evening.

Also just 30-minute drive from Hobart International Airport, means this property offers convenient accessibility for all your guests. Additionally, overnight guests can indulge in the available amenities, including a sauna and hot tub.
